The Need for App Migration Assistant
It’s been a hard month. Thanks to both hardware and software issues with my Mac Studio, I wound up rebuilding my desktop setup from scratch twice. The first time was bad, but the second time around was brutal.
Once my hardware issues were resolved, I restored my Mac from a Time Machine backup, which took a long time but went smoothly. Of course, not everything comes over when you restore using Migration Assistant. I still had to log into what felt like a million services, and TestFlight doesn’t work with Migration Assistant at all, which isn’t great, but that was about it.
