Raindrop.io
I switch link organizers like Federico switches task managers, which is to say, a lot. It’s a category I love to test because it’s so hard to pin down. Some apps handle nothing but URLs. Other apps double as read-later apps. Still others focus on creating archival copies of webpages. Overlay the myriad reasons people save links and their workflows, resulting in a rich universe of apps that cater to all sorts of needs.
I’ve tried Raindrop.io (I’m going to make this easier on myself and just call it Raindrop) several times, but it never stuck. Something was always missing or didn’t work quite how I wanted it to. Most recently, I was using Anybox, which is an excellent app that I covered not too long ago in this very section of Weekly. I love its Shortcuts support and Smart Lists support, but one thing increasingly bothered me.
