OverClip: A System for Saving Podcast Clips in Obsidian as Text

Excerpts of podcasts are notoriously hard to share. In recent years, the situation has improved with share extensions in apps like Overcast and Castro that allow you to save or share a timestamped URL or audio or video clip, which I love, but of course, I wanted something more.

URLs and clips files solve the sharing problem on social media quite nicely, but they don’t do me much good if I want to quote something I hear on a podcast in a story I’m writing. Even if I save short clips, I need to put them somewhere, find them again, register, transcribe, and find a URL to link the clip.
