Hacking an iPhone Stand to Create a Hideaway Mount for FaceTime on Apple TV

One of the biggest surprise announcements for tvOS during this year’s WWDC Keynote (other than, some might argue, the fact that the platform was mentioned at all) was the new ability to conduct FaceTime calls on the Apple TV by using Continuity Camera from your iPhone.

As someone who makes regular calls to family with my increasingly fidgety 2-year-old, this feature stood out to me as the type of thing you mention to your non-techy friends to impress them about the new OS releases. Being able to sit comfortably on the sofa and have a call with my parents on the TV feels closer to an in-person conversation because of the distance between us and the screen, as well as the larger picture I can now see of them.
