Getting More from Dropover
When you download a utility for a specific purpose, it’s easy to use it for that and nothing else. That’s what happened to me with Dropover. I wanted an easy, temporary place to put files as I move them around on my Mac. Dropover is great for this because you simply grab a file, shake it a little, and drop it onto the app’s shelf UI. Recently, though, I began figuring out more ways to use Dropover as part of my daily routine and have some tips to share from my experimentation.
Dial In Dropover’s Sensitivity

I like Dropover’s shake gesture for dropping files onto its shelf, but I’ve always thought it took a little too much shaking. Fortunately, there’s a setting in the app’s preferences to make it more sensitive to your shaking. There are two levels of sensitivity above the default setting: ‘high sensitivity’ and ‘ludicrous sensitivity.’ I chose ‘high,’ and it’s made a noticeable difference using the app.
