Framing iPhone Screen Recordings
Not too long ago, I reviewed Detail Duo and Detail for Mac, apps that my son Finn works on. Detail Duo, an iPhone and iPad app for filming social media-friendly video, recently added a Shortcuts action that lets you frame iPhone screen recordings in a hardware frame. It’s a lot like Federico’s Apple Frames shortcut, but for screen recordings. All you need for the action is to point it at a screen recording you’ve taken and saved in Files, so it’s incredibly easy to use, but I wanted to mention it here because it makes screen recordings look great and with a lot of developers in the Club, it struck me as a fast, easy way for them to promote their apps or for anyone to demo something interesting they’ve discovered about their favorite app. For an example of Duo’s framing in action, check out this Instagram Story I posted to the MacStories Instagram account this week.
