Dropover as Temporary Storage for Reminders on the Mac

Apple’s Reminders app supports image attachments, but that’s it. A lot of the time, that’s enough, but sometimes, I want to attach some other type of file to Reminders for reference purposes. There are a lot of ways to approach this sort of problem. For instance, you could use an app like Hookmark to create a URL to a file in Finder, but those links don’t work on iOS, and most of the time, the files I attach to Reminders are temporary, which is why I ended up going with Dropover.

Dropover’s primary use is as a temporary parking spot for files, but it also supports uploading to its cloud-based storage service. Copying a file’s iCloud link is an option, too, but what I like about using Dropover’s service is that I can set the link to expire after a certain number of days. Once I’ve copied the link, I can drop it into Reminders’ URL field and later retrieve whatever I saved with a click.
