Batch Converting Saved Timers from Timery into One-Action Shortcuts

In last Friday’s issue of MacStories Weekly, John wrote about the convenience of simple utility shortcuts on macOS. Essentially, he argued that because of the variety of ways we have to run shortcuts on macOS Monterey, triggering automations that are comprised of a handful of actions, or even just one action, is so much faster and acceptable than doing so on iOS or iPadOS.

That post resonated with me because I often feel like I can’t “waste” an icon on my Home Screen or a slot in the widget when I want to invoke a simple shortcut on the iPhone and iPad. I can optimize Spotlight for launching apps and shortcuts only, and I have done that to speed up Spotlight as a launcher, but it’s still not nearly as fast as utilities such as Raycast or LaunchBar on the Mac. John also wrote about Raycast recently as part of his Macintosh Desktop Experience column, and as someone who’s also been using Raycast for the past month or so, I agree with him: triggering shortcuts from Raycast – either by typing their name or as pinned favorites – is the fastest way to run shortcuts on any Apple device that has a keyboard attached.
