APP DEBUTS

Noteworthy new app releases and updates, handpicked by the MacStories team.

MenuBot

MenuBot is a clever combination of Shortcuts and a menu bar app that makes it simple to add and update bits of data in your Mac’s menu bar. The app makes use of SF Symbols to provide a single icon per shortcut, providing a style that works perfectly with other menu bar icons. To get you started, MenuBot includes a handful of sample shortcuts like a weather forecast, the chance of rain, and a calendar summary. Shortcuts can be set to update as quickly as every 30 seconds to as infrequently as once per day. Just open the app’s settings from the menu bar, pick a shortcut you’ve created for the menu bar and an update frequency, and you’re done. MenuBot is the easiest way I’ve found for customizing the menu bar so far.
