App Debuts

Noteworthy new app releases and updates, handpicked by the MacStories team.

Sigma Planner

Whether you’ve just started classes in person or remotely, having an app designed just for students is a terrific way to stay on top of your studies. Sigma Planner was recently redesigned to unify its iPad and iPhone interfaces. The app uses a two-pane layout. On the left is a calendar and course list, and on the right is your course schedule and task list. The calendar and course list provide flexibility in the way you navigate and filter the view of your schedule and tasks.

The iPad app takes advantage of the device’s big screen and iPad-specific features like multiwindowing, keyboard shortcuts, cursor support, and more. Data syncs using iCloud sync, and there are themes and alternate icons to suit a variety of tastes too.
