Personalizing My Apple Music Experience with Marvis
Personalizing My Apple Music Experience with Marvis
With the iOS and iPadOS 15 review finally behind me, I’ve started catching up on things I largely ignored during the summer as I was busy writing. These include videogames (I’m trying to finish Metroid: Zero Mission before Dread comes out next month), reading books (our Discord members know!), reading articles in my Safari Reading List, and, of course, listening to new music that came out recently. I’ve been in this “catching up and cleaning up” mode for the past week or so, and, while the process is still ongoing, I had some time to properly set up Marvis, a highly-customizable Apple Music client that was recommended to me by multiple Discord members. Long story short: Marvis has a steep learning curve, but if you’re willing to accept the plethora of settings you can customize, it’ll unlock an Apple Music listening experience unlike anything else on iOS and iPadOS. What follows is an example of how I set up Marvis on my devices.
We reviewed Marvis on MacStories a couple of years ago, so I don’t want to rehash that review and cover the basics of the app again. If you missed it, go read the review, then come back here. I’ll wait.
