Opening Random Albums and Reading Editorial Content with MusicBox

Earlier this week on MacStories, I reviewed MusicBox, Marcos Tanaka’s fantastic new app to save music for later. As I explained in the story, I’ve looked for a utility specifically optimized for Apple Music to save singles and albums for later for a long time, and MusicBox does exactly that. As I mentioned in the review, MusicBox, among its many features, comes with a solid Shortcuts integration to retrieve items you’ve saved in the app via an action called ‘Get Music’. The action is one of the best examples of modern, highly-configurable actions I’ve seen in Shortcuts in the past year: there are fields that support parameters for text, dates, and built-in options that allow you to filter items saved in MusicBox by title, artist, type, tag, dates, and more.
