I’ll let you in on a little secret: the first thing I do every year after I publish my iOS reviews is making a list of what I’d like to see in the next version of iOS.

Last year was no different. Soon after I published my iOS 9 review (following three months of intense work – you may remember I was feeling physically sick at the end), I opened the Notes app and started adding some thoughts on features I would have liked to see in iOS. I do this every year for a simple reason: there’s value in the fresh impressions of a post-review brain that can be more rarefied three months later, when the in-depth review is a thing of the past.
