App Debuts

Noteworthy new app releases and updates, handpicked by the MacStories team.

I was wondering when someone would come up with a very simple app that combined both calendar events and reminders in the same unified timeline, and Thum, created by indie developer Bruno Wernimont, is the first example I’ve seen that gets it right. The app merges events and reminders in the same view and lets you switch between items due today or upcoming ones. That’s it. You can also browse items by individual calendars or lists in the sidebar. While Thum gets the basics right, it’s a young app, and I’d love to see a few more options in the future. For instance, it’d be great to have a ‘parallel view’ to see when certain events and reminders are happening at the same time instead of displaying everything sequentially in a vertical list.
