App Debuts

Noteworthy new app releases and updates, handpicked by the MacStories team.

The latest utility by Arno Appenzeller (the creator of PiPifier) is a Safari extension that fixes something that has long bothered me: it gets rid of the annoying Smart App Banners you often see at the top of webpages that offer you to see an associated app on the App Store. I usually see these banners on apps’ websites, and I dislike them because of the vertical space they waste on the page. With Unsmartifier, you’ll hide them forever, and there’s nothing else you need to manage inside the extension.
