Fokus

With this Safari extension by Aaron Raimist, you’ll be able to select and emphasize elements of webpages, covering everything else with a semi-transparent black overlay. This is ideal if you want to capture a screenshot of a webpage while drawing attention to a specific portion of it. What’s impressive about this extension is that you can assign a custom key modifier to activate it instantly from the keyboard on iPad. For instance, I assigned the Control key modifier to Fokus, and now all I need to do is select something in Safari, hit Control, and the translucent overlay comes up. I can’t wait to see how other developers will take advantage of custom hotkeys in their Safari extensions.
