A Shortcut for Journaling Your TV and Movie Watch History

Devon Dundee: It’s been over a month since Apple released the Journal app and gave developers access to the Journaling Suggestions API, but I still get excited every time I open up Everlog to see what suggestions the system has for me. Whether it be a podcast or album I listened to, a place I visited, a workout I did, or a handful of photos that I took, I love revisiting and reflecting on moments from my day with journaling suggestions. They’ve enabled me to basically create an interactive timeline of my life with minimal effort and excellent design.

While I’d love it if third-party apps had the ability to offer journaling suggestions, I understand why Apple is being cautious with this privacy-sensitive feature. Still, there’s one system app missing from journaling suggestions that baffles me: the TV app. Just like music and podcasts, TV shows and movies are impactful and thought-provoking. I want to journal about the things I watch, too.
